Howie Barber

Host, Life Served Neat

Howie Barber is a U.S. Navy veteran, technology startup leader, coach, and lifelong builder of people and organizations. His foundation was formed early through military service, where he learned discipline, accountability, and the importance of leading under pressure. Those lessons became the framework for everything that followed in business, coaching, family, and community life.

For more than a decade, Howie has worked in high-growth technology startups, helping build and scale companies in complex, fast-moving environments. His work has required clarity, resilience, and the ability to make hard decisions when stakes are high. The same skills he continues to bring into every leadership role he takes on.

Alongside his business career, Howie has spent years coaching youth and competitive sports, leading teams to championship success at multiple levels. Through coaching, he learned that culture, preparation, and character matter far more than talent alone and that the best leaders develop people, not just results.

As host of Life Served Neat, Howie brings thoughtful storytelling, direct conversation, and earned perspective to every episode. He is less interested in polished answers than honest ones, and believes the best lessons are usually learned in the trenches and shared with humility.

Howie is also a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and a passionate advocate for family legacy and generational leadership. With roots tracing back to the earliest settlers of America and generations of military service in his family, he believes responsibility is something you inherit and continue to show every day.

When he’s not recording, Howie can usually be found writing, mentoring, coaching, or working on his latest home project because he believes good things, like good people, deserve care and attention.

Above all, Howie believes that leadership is built through service, consistency, and character.
